Jazz Ministry at Ascension
Ascension's Jazz Ministry is an outreach ministry of Christian Jazz musicians to Jazz musicians.

Saturday night Jazz Masses are held quaterly at Ascension Lutheran Church. Check the events calendar for dates. The Jazz ministry also does revival services in local Jazz clubs.
Our Jazz Ministry is headed up by Dr. C. Anthony Bush, a talented percussionist and composer. He has compiled a Jazz Hymnal which will be a resource for other Jazz musicians wishing to lead Chrisitan worship in the Jazz idiom. This Jazz Hymnal is in the process of being published.
Our Jazz ministry has produced three CD's. Just published is "Answered Prayer", a recording of Dr. Bush's original compositions. "Our Praise Offering" and a live recording of one of our Jazz Masses are also available. Copies can be ordered by contacting C. Dr. Bush offered an "Inaugural Prayer for Peace" at the Bohemian Caverns, 11th and U NW, on Friday, January 16, and Saturday, January 17. Among the musicians performing with Dr. Bush was Grammy winning saxophonist David Murry.
