Ascension’s Girl Scout Troop 2385 celebrated Scout Sunday on March 12.   The 25 girls from Kindergarten to teens are active in the community, collecting 109 “Coats for Kids”, creating a garden for nursing home residents, and giving cookies to those in the armed service.   They participated in the Girl Scout theme - “Together we can end extreme poverty and hunger” -  by raising money for Haiti Relief and studying about South Africa.   Girls interested in joining the troop and adults wanting to help can call Ascension Lutheran Church (301-577-0050) and leave a message for Troop leader Cheryl Delamater.
